Essential Free Download: Author "Jah Live (J. Robinson's Lion Heart Version)"

It's no secret that we've been championing the sounds of Author for some time now. Made up of UK producers, Ruckspin and Jack Sparrow, the duo's second album, "Forward Forever",  became a cult classic in bass music circles. For me, the standout track on that album was, "Jah Live", a deep, dubbed out rocker, pulsating with reggae riddims. Now the track has been remixed by J. Robinson, who keeps the dub in place, but rather than broken beats, uses a traditional house music pulse as the backbone. Listen below and grab your free download!

One of our favorite groups of 2013, Author, have returned from their triumphant USA tour (we caught the LA show and it was so fresh), ready to venture off to the acclaimed Outlook Festival next. But before they do, Ruckspin and Jack Sparrow have been kind enough to treat fans to a free download of "Break Yourself" which didn't quite make the cut on their recently released second album, "Forward Forever." As you might expect, deep bass music is the name of the game here.

Free Download: Ruckspin Embarks on Author Tour of USA with Jack Sparrow and Releases New UKB Mix

We're gearing up for the Los Angeles debut live performance from UK bass music duo, Author. Consisting of Ruckspin (producer of groundbreaking jazz meets dubstep group Submotion Orchestra), along with the equally potent Jack Sparrow, the Author sound offers a refreshing blend of heavy bass, beautiful/soulful melodies, plus there is actually 'dub' in their dubstep. Author Announce Second Album "Forward Forever" and Drop New Mix

When it comes to deep bass music, few do it better than Author, the UK group comprised of producers Jack Sparrow and Ruckspin, who also handles production duties for jazz meets dubstep act, Submotion Orchestra. The self-titled debut from Author showed the duo have a keen ear for composition and now they've announced the June release of their sophomore album, "Forward Forever," on Blackbox Recordings.
