Skream Premieres New Single "Still Lemonade" and Announces 2015 Album for Crosstown Rebels

For all you dubstep purists who have been secretly hoping one the scene's originators, Skream, would be making a comeback to the sound in 2015...sorry, the dream is dead. Skream has continued to hone and craft his love for house music, which is evidenced by the first single from his forthcoming artist album on Damian Lazarus' label, Crosstown Rebels. While Skream was previously dipping his toes into the house music sounds of the Hot Creations crew, on "Still Lemonade," he returns to his original love for embracing "darker" sounds. While this tune doesn't scream "crossover anthem," it will resonate with fans who appreciate underground house music, which is precisely the point.

Essential Weekend Playlist: Free Download of Traveler's Excellent Nu-Disco Remix of Mark Morrison "Return of the Mack"

WhenI first heard this remix played on the last day of this year's Lightning in a Bottle Festival, I instantly loved it so much that I went over to the DJ and asked who did this dope cosmic disco remix of Mark Morrison's classic cut, "Return of the Mack?!" The response was "I did," and the producer then told me his name was Traveler and that he would eventually put it out. Now 3 months later, Traveler has done just that and made his "Return of the Mack" remix available as a free download over on his Soundcloud page. The booming 808 beats give way to a seriously funky nu-disco groove and guitar line that will have you feeling like summer is still here.

Album of the Week: Hot Natured Deliver on Anticipated Debut Album "Different Sides of the Sun"

At long last the eagerly awaited debut album from house music supergroup, Hot Natured, has been released and "Different Sides of the Sun" absolutely does not disappoint. Featuring plenty of deep, sexy house music grooves that have been lovingly sun-kissed with that current late-90's throwback vibe, this is the perfect end-of-summer album. Pair it with the recently released, AnjunaDeep 05 compilation from James Grant and Jody Wisternoff for a proper party.

While this album sampler doesn't do "Different Sides of the Sun" enough justice, you can get the basic flavor of what Hot Natured are offering on their debut album on Hot Creations label:

Wow, "See Right Through," the latest offering from esteemed German house music producer, Tensnake is absolute class and a sure-fire summer anthem. Featuring some sultry vocals courtesy of Fiora and a smoothed out bassline that will be echoing around your brain for days...this is a "tune" in every sense of the word. Officially released on July 28, 2013...Pete Tong just premiered it on his BBC radio show and now it's doing the rounds on the interweb.

Moda Black has firmly established itself as one of the UK's most exciting record labels for forward-thinking electronic music. Headed by Jaymo & Andy George, and boasting an artist stable that ranges from internationally recognised names such as Hot Since 82 and Maxxi Soundsystem, through to breaking talents such as Hauswerks and Celsius. The label draws influences from the worldwide sounds of house and techno whilst maintaining a unique composition that focuses on high quality productions and innovative ideas. 

In Spring 2011 the debut Moda Black album was released. Comprising of thirteen entirely original pieces of music, written by the label's artists and extended-family and mixed together by Jaymo & Andy George. Moda Black Vol.1 received widespread acclaim from DJ's and music fans alike and went on to be awarded iTunes Dance Album of the Year in December 2012.

Here now we have Moda Black Volume 2 and I'm proud to say it's the bomb. My beautiful and talented 

                              girlfriend schooled me on this mix and I just had to get out to you all.
