Davey Gravy - Knitted Hip Hop Your Grandmother is Sure to Love

My mother used to create needle point works of art of floral patterns and holiday patterns.
She always said that she wasn't born with the gift of creativity, but after
watching her sew for hours on end to truly create something out of nothing,
it dawned on me that patience is a virtue.
I was always amazed at the zen-like style it took to create something so elegant
yet so painstakingly detailed.
Enter Davey Gravy, needle -point extraordinaire.
Creating tightly sewn fabric works of art that rival the tightly woven beats and
lyrics that so many of these featured artists and lyrics represent.
Davey Gravy's pieces are like glimpses into the mind of an artist who really wants to make a
hip hop statement so he states it over and over and over again with each
important stroke of the needle.
Watch out for Davey Gravy's art career that is going from 12 inch needle -point,
to intricate tapestries.
